Managing IT Project Clients

Some pointers for managing clients in IT projects

  • Promise what you can deliver
  • Acknowledge your errors.
  • Keep the line of communication open
  • Don't suprise them
  • Invest in CRM to help in tracking clients, clients communication, referrals & billing
  • Insist on a Contract
  • Outline the client's responsibilities
  • Use a statement of scope
  • Keep your invoincing current
  • Get the client out of the office once a while
  • Ask client for their input especially if something is wrong.
